To register a SIM card, in addition to a document confirming your identity, you will need a phone number and a SIM card number. To check if the SIM card is registered and what phone number it has, enter * 100 # and confirm with the green receiver

To check your SIM card number, enter the free code * 100 # and confirm with the call key. You will also find the SIM card number on your SIM card after removing it from the phone.

You will find the SIM card number and PUK code on your SIM card.

Using the SIM card requires registration of the number by providing your personal data, i.e. name, surname and PESEL number or the name, series and number of the document confirming your identity. In the case of a foreigner who is not a citizen of a Member State of the European Union or the Swiss Confederation, the number of the passport or residence card should be provided.

The obligation to register a SIM card number was introduced by the Act on anti-terrorist activities of June 10, 2016. The provisions regarding the registration of pre-paid numbers entered into force on July 25, 2016.
